Swimming Cross

The Swimming Cross, created by Cásper Líbero, happened for the first time in 1924, on the Tiete River. The race was 5, 5 kilometers, starting at the Vila Maria Bridge and finish line at the Grande Bridge, linked points between the Tiete River and the Esperia River.

The competition was made until 1944, when the pollution started to affect the river where the event took place. In total there were 20 editions of the race named Travessia a Nado, which was Cásper Libero´s favorite sports race.
